Senior Data Analyst

Permanent employee, Full-time · Berlin

About us
“This startup is set to revolutionize classical music” - Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung

Classical music connects people all over the world, transcending culture, race, and generation to inspire and evoke thoughts and emotions in a powerful way. Our vision is to enrich people’s lives through classical music. That’s why we are building a streaming service that caters to the unique depth and complexity of the genre -  with the goal of making classical music as accessible as never before.

We work with all major and specialized record labels around the globe and maintain close relationships with the world’s leading artists and musical institutions. Among them great orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic or iconic artists like Thomas Hampson.

IDAGIO is available to music lovers across the globe. Physically we are rooted in Berlin and we consider the German-speaking countries our home base, in the same as the world perceives them as the cradle of classical music.

Where you'll contribute

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join IDAGIO’s BI Team.

IDAGIO has already been downloaded by more than a million people, with subscribers coming from more than 175 countries. But we aim higher. We envision IDAGIO to be an indispensable part of the daily life of millions of people, accessed across a multitude of platforms - leading and redefining classical music streaming.

We believe data should be regarded as a product to be consumed inside the company; that every team and every activity can benefit from the access to clean, meaningful and actionable information; and that the role of the BI Team in IDAGIO is making this data and information available, non-ambiguous and relevant: to challenge intuitions, to drive and inform initiatives, to maintain control over the product and its performance.

Areas for contribution include:

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets

  • Collaborate with other teams in different domains (e.g. Marketing, Product, UX, Business Development), receiving, clarifying and anticipating their needs for data, analyses, and insight

  • Follow Marketing initiatives, providing performance reports analysing campaigns across multiple channels

  • Formalize and implement descriptive and predictive models to analyze KPI metrics

  • Cultivate a data-driven mentality in the company and mentor colleagues utilizing the data sources provided, so that everybody can be confident of using data the right way, independently

  • Implement automatic reporting procedures and analytics dashboards

  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to develop IDAGIO’s data warehouse, including the software tools to ingest, clean and store data

Experience and personality traits we find relevant for this position
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role (data analysis)

  • Strong grasp of analytic/statistical concepts

  • Experience in marketing analytics (e.g. campaigns tracking, multi-touch attribution models, channel integration) is a big plus

  • Strong data modeling, database, and SQL skills; experience with data modeling in Looker is a plus

  • Strong communication and data visualization skills

  • Experience developing and maintaining a framework to prioritize competing tasks and projects

  • Ability to structure ideas into actionable plans

  • Proficiency with a programming language, and passion for process automation

  • Experience in a similar role for a subscription-based B2C service or for digital music services is a plus
